Class in Session: Top Football Prospects Headline Clinic With Local Prep Athletes
WHAT: On Wednesday, April 25th, seven members from Nike's 2007 Rookie
Class will be on hand at Sara D. Roosevelt Park in New York
City to lend their football knowledge and expertise to 50 local
high school football players.
Top draft prospects, Gaines Adams, Calvin Johnson, Greg Olsen,
Amobi Okoye, Brady Quinn and JaMarcus Russell will work with
Nike trainers to take local prep football players through a
series of football drills by using SPARQ - a dynamic
performance training designed to allow young athletes to
establish a rating by which they can track their progress and
compare scores against friends, other kids around the world as
well as college and professional athletes.
The event, hosted by TV personality Sway, will also provide the
prep football players with the opportunity to take part in a
Q&A session with the Nike Rookie Class members as well as hear
the group share their insights and knowledge about the game of
football.
